NICHOIRS URBAINS
FR

The Urban Nest Boxes project has now taken shape through the installation of 54 nesting boxes throughout the city, designed to provide new habitats for local biodiversity.
Initiated by the Rotary Club of Argentan under the presidency of Pierre, the project was developed in collaboration with students from the DNMADe programme in Object Design in Argentan, along with numerous partners involved in the initiative.
Beyond their design and installation, the nesting boxes now provide an opportunity to observe their concrete adoption by local wildlife. Occupancy rates have far exceeded initial expectations, confirming the relevance of the initiative and its ability to become an integral part of the urban ecosystem.
Urban Nest Boxes finds its full meaning in this encounter between creativity and the living world: an urban environment shaped by humans that, through design, reintroduces the conditions for a new form of symbiosis. The birds thus become ambassadors of a restored balance and, more broadly, living indicators of the state of our biodiversity.
